Taken in the spring of 2003, this is a nice shot of a "Grace" Smokebush, Cotinus coggygria "Grace". A nice shrub for contrast in the landscape, I enjoy the subtle beauty of the new growth. May die back a long ways in cold winters, but can even be cut back to the ground and will still come back from the roots.
