Join Ann Hazelrigg, UVM Diagnostic Lab and Andrew Burtt, Old Nash Farm, for a review of pests, diseases and woody plant identification in preparation for the Vermont Certified Horticulturist Exam. The exam is being offered at the Annual Winter Meeting on February 12, 2008 at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Conference Center, Rutland, VT. and the Summer Meeting in August. You can also take the exam by appointment. Light refreshments provided. Study manuals are available for $50 (VAPH member); $75 (non-member). Please contact the VAPH office.
Directions: from Burlington and the north:
Travel 1.5 miles south from the intersection of Interstate I-189 and Shelburne Road (U.S. Route 7). Turn left at the traffic light onto Green Mountain Drive after the state highway sign indicating the UVM HORT. FARM. Travel .3 miles on Green Mountain Drive and turn right onto the Horticultural Research Center access road.
Directions from Shelburne and the south:
Travel 3.5 miles north from the intersection in the center of Shelburne Village on U.S. Route 7. Turn right at the traffic light onto Green Mountain Drive after the state highway sign indicating the UVM HORT. FARM. Travel .3 miles on Green Mountain Drive and turn right onto the Horticultural Research Center access road.
